Pilot International Founders Fund

GEORGIA DISTRICT SUPPORTS PILOT INTERNATIONAL FOUNDERS FUND

Each year, the Georgia District, through clubs and members, support the efforts of Pilot International Founders Fund (PIFF) through a multitude of activities as identified below in this article. A member or club may choose to participate in one or more of the many opportunities offered by PIFF.  Further information may be secured through the Pilot International website (http://www.pilotinternational.org/, select “Grants & Scholarships from the menu).

Georgia District Pilot Clubs ONLY:

PIFF AMBASSADOR (formerly known as Sweetheart):
Due Date:  September 30
Amount:  $25 minimum
Recognition:  Each Georgia District club nominates one member per the guidelines and presents PIFF Ambassador certificate, usually during September.

GEORGIA DISTRICT PACESETTER CONTRIBUTIONS:
Due Date:  February 1
Amount:  $10 per active, dues-paying member
Recognition:  Certificates are presented at the Georgia District Convention to those clubs who are able to support PIFF with a Pacesetter contribution by the deadline.

GOAL FOR GRANTS & SCHOLARSHIPS:
Due Date:  February 1 to be recognized at the Georgia District Conventions
Amount:  $250 per club or individual for ‘250 Club/Member’ recognition
For:  PIFF’s Matching Grants, Emergency Response Grants and Scholarship programs

Individual/Club Opportunities from the Georgia District

HONORARIUM
ANY gift can be made to ANY FUND in honor of any person or organization.

MEMORIAL
ANY gift can be made to ANY FUND in memory of any person or organization.

BRAINMINDERS FUND
For: To support the expansion of current programs and the development of new ones.

EMERGENCY RESPONSE FUND
For: Awards for Emergency Response (Project Lifesaver, Lifeline, etc.) grant requests are made from this fund.

SAFE HARBOR RELIEF FUND
For: Safe Harbor Relief Grants, to assist Pilots who have been adversely affected by a disaster, are made from this fund.

BRAIN-RELATED DISORDERS/RESEARCH FUND
For: Scientific research grants for Alzheimer’s and other brain-related disorders.

PILOT INTERNATIONAL ENDOWMENT FUND
For: To raise money for an endowed fund where the interest gained will be used for programs and services of PI.

PILOT INTERNATIONAL ANNUAL FUND
For: To support and operate Pilot International.

Pilot international Founders Fund is a 501(c)(3) organization.  All donations by individuals, companies and corporations are tax-deductible.
